     The lower portion of Irishtown Run is for the most part protected by an impassable laurel thicket.  However, the slopes and bottom of this Dunbar tributary are the location of some fascinating locations, including the Dunbar Quarry Caves, The Hydro Tunnel, The Viaduct and The Dwarf Forest.  Access to most of these locations is via an old abandoned road that is easy to follow.  Each turn-off from the road leads to another amazing place.  This tour currently only covers the area of Irishtown Run, below Twin Oaks Road.  The area above the road will be added later this year.
