South of Laurel Cliff, we encounter a small U shaped box canyon where, during periods of low flow, the stream flows from a series of small caves beneath the rocks. It is evident that during high flow conditions, this area is a spectacular water fall. But, since we are touring during low flow conditions, we see few signs of the falls from below and we can take a break in the coolness of the caves. (They would be hidden from view behind a curtain of water during periods of high flow) Yet another fascinating place. |
