Another Ledge Generated Pool

Just as we pass Rock Run, the stream turns eastward and its gradient increases significantly.  From now until we reach Great Falls, we will be climbing through the geologic strata that make the summit of Chestnut Ridge.  It is as if the stream was flowing down a gigantic staircase.  You will observe short flat stretches followed by extremely steep cascades.  If you travel through this section,  you will likely think more of rock climbing than fishing or hiking.  Be careful!  The Rocks are large and the pools below them are unpredictable.  Some are very deep and some are nonexistent.
