Hidden Falling Water
 

A short distance above the falls on Mossy Run, we come to its source.  The stream is fed by one large seepage spring and two moderately sized artesian / limestone springs which flow from the mountainside.  As can be seen in the pictures, the area is lush, teeming with life such as the land snail shown below.  The gradient in this area runs from 30 to 90 degrees.  It is a difficult walk, but worth the effort..
